Objectives

Fighting wildlife crime, together.

The WildLIFE Crime Academy takes a comprehensive, multi-level approach to tackling wildlife crime. From gathering baseline data and creating national working groups to developing protocols, training enforcement officers, and promoting international cooperation, each action is designed to strengthen capacity and deliver long-term impact. By combining research, capacity building, technological tools, advocacy, and cross-border collaboration, WCA ensures that wildlife crime is not only better investigated and prosecuted but ultimately reduced across all target countries.
Biodiversity Protection

Reduce the detrimental effects of wildlife crime on biodiversity, especially on threatened species.

Authority Support

Secure real and continued engagement of relevant governmental authorities in combating wildlife crime.

Global Cooperation

Enhance international cooperation in wildlife crime investigation.

This will be achieved through:

Research and Analysis
Gathering of available information on the scope of the problem in the target countries by updating and implementing in-depth analysis of wildlife crime, its drivers, associated negative effects to wildlife, as well as capacities of relevant governmental institutions in the target countries to tackle and monitor this specific type of environmental crime.
