Results & Progress
Fighting wildlife crime, together.
At the heart of the WildLIFE Crime Academy is transparency, collaboration, and a shared commitment to combat wildlife crime. Our funders, partners, stakeholders, and supporters work together to strengthen law enforcement, build capacity, and enhance international cooperation in tackling this urgent threat to biodiversity. By sharing regular updates on milestones, training activities, and results, we aim to keep everyone informed and engaged in the Academy’s progress and impact.

During the meeting with all partners and WCA professors present, we consolidated the partnership, reviewed project management strategies, established the schedule and priorities for the first project year, and outlined the overall planning for the next four cohorts.

The first Level 1 training course of the WildLIFE Crime Academy project, held in June 2025 at the International University of Andalucía in Spain, successfully trained Cohort 3, comprising 37 professionals from nine countries, in how to address illegal wildlife killing, poisoning, and trapping.

The first Level 2 training course of the WildLIFE Crime Academy project, held in November 2025 at the International University of Andalucía in Baeza (Spain), successfully trained Cohort 3, comprising 34 professionals from nine countries, in criminal profiling, toxicology, and entomology.

The second Level 1 training course of the WildLIFE Crime Academy project, held in February 2026 at the International University of Andalucía in Huelva (Spain), successfully trained Cohort 4, comprising 35 professionals from six countries, in how to address illegal wildlife killing, poisoning, and trapping.
